Easy & Enjoyable.

Your relationship with exercise has always led to discomfort, nausea, pain, and a feeling of dread. Why? The world makes you feel that it’s necessary for this journey to be as agonizing as possible. "No pain, no gain!" This pumping-iron-era mentality has led many to quit any form of resistance training due to lingering injuries.

On a day-to-day basis, our new students look in dismay at the suggestion of resting between sets and focusing on form. It’s imperative to slow down your pace, let your body and mind acclimate to your habits, and be patient. The quest you're on requires you to take action and put yourself in an environment that pushes you slightly further than usual. If you rush it, you’ll burn out and find yourself looking for answers elsewhere.

Examples of starting slow: 1 scoop of protein a day that you enjoy, a 10-minute walk daily, 1-2 sessions a week at G.I.F.T. Fitness, and reading 5 pages daily. It reads like a broken record, but there’s beauty in the mundane and simple. Flashy sells, but tried and true takes you to the promised land. Push-ups worked 6,000 years ago and they still work now. On that note, start off with a 10 lb dumbbell press, build your confidence, adjust your food choices, then build up to the push-up. How many of us had a terrible high school experience where push-ups were thrown at us at a time when we weren’t ready? No progressions—just brutally reminded of our physical inadequacy in a public setting, judged by our peers.

After training hundreds of people, we find that everyone wants to feel welcomed and comfortable being themselves. We show you how to do what seems impossible in a way that is safe and effective. Find what works for you. It has to be sustainable, and within that habit, you'll find the hard work that will have you on top of the world.
