Combination of energy fitness is becoming aware of physical, mental and emotional fitness. That energy is what is inside all of us, and it has many different names such as spirit, essence, nature, etc… Once we have this understanding, the next step is to develop our self knowledge. That means being aware of our actions, thoughts and communication on a daily basis. This is important because these attributes make up our behavior. Our behavior lies the key to how the world sees us and interprets who we are. Behavior is the difference between someone’s character that chooses their higher self or someone’s character who is an actor and says all the right things but doesn’t have integrity and chooses their lower self. The tools we use to create self knowledge is reflection and introspection. Best practice is to go over your actions from the end of the day, week, month, year, and decade. The reason being is when we look back we can be witness to our actions, thoughts and words and see if they really served us in the moments that we observed. Through this process we develop wisdom and develop better choices or get rid of choices that no longer serve us.
Next up comes our adaptive capacity, with the help of self knowledge it allows us to make better decisions and be able to manage the known and the unknown in real time to the best of our abilities. With this tool we are constantly evolving our capacity, that we can handle from the uncertainties surprises and unforeseen events that life throws at us. Change to routines, plans and situations causes fear, anxiety and dismay, but through experience, practice and repetition we build confidence. That allows us to become resilient no matter what the change of circumstances are in any given life event until it becomes our normal to handle anything that life throws our way. Allowing us to persevere through any given challenge, obstacle or problem.
The next step is innovation, innovation comes creation. The more self knowledge we acquire about ourselves with the experience of adaptive capacity then innovation is born. First we innovate who we are by letting go of the old versions of ourselves that don’t serve who we want to be and who we have become. The next extraordinary aspect through our reflections of self knowledge and adaptation that is born is situational pattern recognitions that are unique to the individual which create ideas from all experiences and gives a special perspective that many call specific knowledge. That can only be born from consistent work, practice and repetition from skills over a long period of time. That allows the individual to see things that others don’t see, which in turn make the individual a person of value that can add to others in a way that no one else can. The skills and experiences are unique to every individual and that specific knowledge only that person can see within those areas. Some even call it mastery, a perfect example is that a brown belt in jujitsu cannot see what a more experienced black belt can see.
