What is Mastery?

Mastery -

It’s a comprehensive understanding of knowledge, skill and experience in a subject. It’s the most crucial external value we can acquire and achieve. Mastery is not monetary, but in reality, value comes from years of experience in one thing. We are all born with an intrinsic gift that pulls and attracts us to our passion. That passion, if cultivated and nurtured, can be forged into the genius that every human being is born with if discovered. Once discovered, it is through the grit of practice and repetition that we improve and synthesize our gift to the next stage of its evolution.

The purpose is what our passion turns into once we perfect the level of excellence in that field of skill, knowledge, or experience. The purpose is what we do for others outside of ourselves. We take that passion, and we transfer it and make use of it through teaching others, creating a product, or displaying our passion in front of crowds for others to see. At this mastery stage, we are still perfecting the practice of our work by gathering and collecting continuous and never-ending experiences and data.

The last stage of mastery is when we arrive at contribution. That’s the change we make in the world by changing ourselves and being role models of our passions while building positionality in our world. Those constitutions can come from telling our stories of our journeys with others, putting our relationships together to give to others, using our mastery to give to others, and lastly, using our resources to give to others. The main point is to give, not caring about what we receive but instead what we offer and add to the world around us. Once you’ve reached the top of the mountain collecting, the following purpose of life is to give it all away.

Now let’s talk about some skills we need to achieve mastery. The first and most crucial skill is attention. We need to be able to concentrate and focus daily on what we are trying to achieve. The second skill we need is grit, the power of passion and perseverance. Mastery takes 7 to 20 years to develop based on the level of consistent action you take. Lastly, you need the courage to act. Everyone will try to distract you and make you conform to the standards of normal society. Still, when you’re going for extraordinary human excellence, chances are you will be different than everyone else, which will develop incredible character in the journey to your mastery.

To give a real-life example, we can use gift fitness. When G.I.F.T. Fitness opened, it was just a gym for physical fitness, vitality, and strength. Then the next fitness developed was mental fitness, composed of focus, concentration, and ideas. The third is emotional fitness, which involves excellent connections and dialogues among members. Lastly, take all three, and they make up energetic fitness, the energy that we impact and inspire the world with through the development and combination of all three fitness simultaneously.
