Protein Foods?

Protein Foods?

Protein foods?
Philosophy: Easy, Correct, Enjoyable

Protein bars, chips, cheese balls, cereal, oatmeal... Food companies are cashing in on the protein trend. I just saw a protein chip near the cashier at ShopRite today, sitting right next to every sugary, salty concoction known to man.
Some of you are starting your fitness journeys young—12 years old, even—relying heavily on protein products without having at least 1–2 "adult meals" a day. What’s an adult meal? Something with veggies, protein, rice, and
healthy fats like avocado. If you lean too much on protein products early in your journey, it can make it harder to wean off them later and build meals like beef, rice, and avocado into your routine.

The positive? People are upping their protein intake, and that’s huge—it helps build muscle, improves cognitive function, and can stave off disease. But relying solely on protein snacks or powders often feeds an indulgent mindset
instead of teaching you the value of real food.
Whether it's Ozempic, weight-loss surgery, or a fad diet, these should all be seen as opportunities to reset your habits, not as shortcuts to avoid addressing your mindset.

Sure, enjoy the protein-rich snacks and convenience foods, but don’t forget to embrace your inner chef—cook, chew, space out meals, and put effort into what you eat. Treat meal preparation as a ceremony that builds your future self. You are, quite literally, what you eat, and no caffeine buzz, superfood blend, or trendy snack will ever match the power of quality, wholesome food.
